angelica is the co-founder of a turning point miami, a comprehensive intensive outpatient program for adolescents with eating disorders. located in heart of coral gables, florida, the facility also offers therapy and health coaching for those who struggle with trauma, mood disorders, PTSD, self injury, body image issues, acculturation, addictions, and life transitions.

recognized within the mental health community for her creativity, compassionate and evidenced-based therapeutic skills, she has worked extensively with children, adolescents, young adults and adults with diverse mental health issues.

her most recent position was as a primary therapist at the oliver pyatt centers in miami, where she has been working with clients that have eating disorders within an inpatient facility. here she leads two psychodrama groups a week, supervises therapists as well as conducts daily therapy.

with family counseling services of greater miami she provided countywide outreach to hundreds of children, adolescents, non-offending caregivers and adult survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence. she is an expert in crisis intervention counseling, and has worked with patients who engage in self-injurious behaviors and have PTSD.

angelica has also worked in the psychiatric unit of miami children’s hospital, providing intensive individual, family and group therapy.

she speaks english, spanish and portuguese fluently, and is a graduate of the university of miami.
